Contract Formation
The presentation of products in our online store does not constitute a legally binding offer, but rather an invitation to place an order. By completing the checkout process and clicking the payment button, you submit a binding offer to purchase the goods in your shopping cart. Contract acceptance takes place when we send an explicit order confirmation email or dispatch the goods.
Order Confirmation
Once your order is placed and payment is completed, a confirmation will be sent automatically to the email address you provided. Please check that all details are correct — if it doesn’t arrive within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder before contacting us. If anything needs to change, reply directly to the confirmation email as soon as possible.
Prices & Payment
All prices shown at checkout include VAT and any applicable duties for delivery within the EU.
We use Stripe as our payment processor, which lets you pay securely with major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) as well as SEPA Direct Debit and other regional payment methods Stripe supports for your country. Your card and bank details are encrypted and handled directly by Stripe — we do not store them ourselves. If you have any questions about a payment or charge, contact us at support@fishhelm.com.
Shipping costs, if any, are calculated and displayed before you pay.
Shipping & Delivery
- EU Orders: Prices displayed include applicable value-added tax (VAT) and duties for delivery within the European Union.
- Non-EU Orders (UK, CH, NO, US, Worldwide): Sent strictly under DAP (Delivered At Place) terms. Import VAT, local duties, storage fees, or customs agent fees levied by destination authorities are the sole responsibility of the customer.
Redirecting a parcel: once your order is dispatched, you’ll receive tracking updates from UPS or DHL by email or SMS. In most cases you can redirect your parcel to a different address or pickup point directly through that notification. Redirects are handled by the carrier and made at your own risk — please make sure your delivery address is correct at checkout to avoid delays.
Uncollected parcels: Parcels are normally held for 5–14 days, depending on the type of delivery and country (e.g. parcel shop, service point or parcel locker). It is your responsibility to collect your parcel within the specified time If a parcel is not collected and is returned to us, a fee of 200–600 SEK will be charged, depending on the country and any customs or other fees. An uncollected parcel is not considered a return or a cancelled purchase.
Countries We Cannot Ship To
Due to EU trade sanctions and export restrictions, we currently cannot ship to: Russia, Belarus, Iran, North Korea, and Syria. This list can change without notice. If your country is not shown at checkout, email us at support@fishhelm.com and we’ll confirm whether delivery is possible.

Statutory Warranty Rights
Separately from the withdrawal right above, all purchases are covered by the statutory right to complain (reklamation) under the Swedish Consumer Sales Act (Konsumentköplagen) for three years from delivery, for defects that existed at the time of delivery. This applies regardless of any additional warranty we may offer, and it isn’t limited by the 14-day window — it covers faults that show up later too.
Like any offshore fishing reel exposed to saltwater, the :HELM requires regular maintenance to perform reliably over that period — rinsing after use, drag system care, and periodic inspection, as described in the maintenance section of our online manual. The statutory warranty covers manufacturing defects; it does not cover:
- Corrosion, wear, or drag faults resulting from missed or inadequate maintenance
- Damage from use beyond the reel’s rated line and drag specifications
- Damage from unauthorised repairs, disassembly, or modification
- Damage from accidents or transport once the product was delivered undamaged
- Normal wear and tear from regular use
- Fishing Line is excluded as it is considered a consumable
If a product is defective, contact support@fishhelm.com with your order number, a description of the fault, and photos. Depending on the situation, we will repair, replace, or refund the product to you.
Cross-Border Warranty & Relocation
If you have moved to a different country — within the EU or outside it — since your purchase, we will do our best to honour your warranty claim. If shipping a repair or replacement to your new location costs significantly more than the original delivery, we may ask you to cover the difference.
Product Documentation
All manuals and safety documentation, including installation and maintenance instructions, are provided in English only and available in the manual section of our website.
